Ministries with Youth

In a world of mixed messages and complicated pressures, Beulah Presbyterian Church through the East End Youth Ministry (EEYM) teaches the one true constant – Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. EEYM vision is to provide specific directions for teenagers to love God, serve others and follow Jesus.

A variety of unique programs meet the needs of a broad spectrum of middle and high school students. They encompass youth who have never heard of Jesus or are seeking to accept Him, to others who are looking to cultivate a faith that has already begun to mature.  We are working with other churches in a program called the East End Youth Ministry.   Please read below for more information

Our church offers wonderful facilities for our youth. A full-size gymnasium and two wonderful rooms that are designated for youth activities located on the church’s campus. All students are welcome.

Fall/Winter 2019

EEYG (Pronounced EGG) YOUTH GROUP - Wednesdays

         5-6 pm Dinner

         6-7:30 pm Youth Group

We kicked off the Fall Program on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.

We are studying the issue of LAMENT and the impact it has on our youth's lives.

We discovered that our youth in our community feel this-

I’m so alone, so I don’t feel anymore.

Our youth feel alone, isolated and stressed.   They are broken and lonely.   Youth are not living into the God-given life Jesus wants for them.  Therefore, therefore we describe it as a false narrative.

We desire our youth to have a Jesus Centered Narrative-

In Jesus, I am fully known and STILL loved!

We are working on bridging the false narrative to the Jesus-centered narrative.   We want our youth to the practice of Lament and allow them to discover and live within the Jesus-centered narrative.

We are introducing the LAMENT PROJECT.   Which will enable youth to learn, experience, practice, and live into the Christian Practice of Lament.   This will bring them FREEDOM through Christ by allowing them to feel again and be honest with Jesus and in this will happen in the context of their faith community.

So come on out Wednesdays to discovery the LAMENT PROJECT.

For more information please find this article about the LAMENT PROJECT in more detail.

Service Opportunities

East End Youth Ministry Youth Group also hosts a once-a-month service activity.   This can be packing boxes at World Vision, working at a food bank, doing home repair, or any various service opportunity that arises. Garfield Farm work days are one of our regular projects.  The Garfield Farm is an urban farm located just below the water tower in the neighborhood of Garfield...right next to East Liberty.  Their goal is to provide fresh produce and bring hope to their neighborhood.
