Hurricane Relief Trip to Little Egg Harbor, NJ in 2014

The goal of Beulah’s Mission & Outreach Support Team (MOST) is to fulfill the Great Commission through ministering to all human needs; spiritual, social and physical. We support a host of different missionaries and agencies, all with various needs: financial, hands-on, and prayer support. We continue to have a partnership with Malawi and other global mission projects. Locally we support Pittsburgh Region International Student Ministries (PRISM), East Liberty Family Health Care Center (ELFHCC), Open Hands Ministry, and many more! We are also reaching out to our surrounding community by creating a garden to provide produce to those in need, as well as hosting a community Thanksgiving dinner. MOST is always looking for another pair of hands to continue to strengthen our ministry and mission!

Recently we have placed our focus closer to home and we are making a commitment to supporting our neighborhoods in new ways.  Summer mission teams are working with local agencies such as The Pittsburgh Project and Open Hand Ministries to help with home iimprovements for low-income communities.  Our youth regularly support the work of Garfield Community Farm during the summer as volunteers.  Some of our adults have been trained to develop friendships with and mentor elementary school children who just need someone to help with homework or someone to talk to in the lunch room.

We are beginning partnerships with other congregations who have fewer resources but want to also make an impact in the community.

We are always listening to the Holy Spirit for guidance about ways we can help!

Mission Outreach Support Team

Beulah is known for its "hands-on" approach to outreach.  We sent summer mission teams into Mississippi for several years after Hurricane Katrina, when the region was all but forgotten but still in desperate need.  When tornadoes devasated parts of the south, Beulah mustered the congregation and the community to donate household goods, food and water and drove it down in a rented truck to assist with distribution.  Hurricane Sandy provided another challenge which we met on short notice by sending a team within weeks of the storm to help homeowners in Little Egg Harbor, NJ.

The Mission & Outreach Support Team of Beulah Church exists to:

  • Fulfill the Great Commission of Christ (Matthew 28:19,20)

  • Share the Gospel and bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ (John 3:16 and Romans 10:13-15)

  • Take God’s Word to un-reached peoples (Revelation 5:9)

  • Minister to all human needs: spiritual, social, or physical (Matthew 25:31-46)

  • Administer the mission funds of the Beulah budget (1 Peter 4:10)

The Beulah Presbyterian Church congregation grieves with our community in the aftermath of the horrific shootings at the Tree of Life Synagogue on October 27, 2018. We want our position to be clear.  Please read our Statement Opposing Racism and Bigotry, which was adopted in 2017.
