CELEBRATING THE SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SUPPER ONLINE THIS COMING SUNDAY
In these extraordinary times when we have had to suspend gathering together for worship, our denomination, the Presbyterian Church USA, has given an advisory that we may celebrate online the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. The Session, our leadership board, has approved and so we continue our practice of celebrating the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month.
HOW TO JOIN ONLINE WORSHIP ON SUNDAY MORNINGS
Facebook: Go to our Beulah Facebook Page and scroll down to find the Worship service video. All videos have a date and title. We air Sunday services at 10am on Sundays, but the video is available anytime thereafter.
Website: Head to our Church Online page and watch there.
YouTube: Click here to be taken to our YouTube channel.
If you know someone without internet access, please let them know they can call the church at 412-242-4570 on Saturday evening or Sunday morning to receive the phone number and access code each week to listen to the service by phone.
CELEBRATION OF THE SACRAMENT AT HOME
Find a space to comfortably access the worship service. This may be on your IPad, computer or cell phone. Prepare the elements ahead of the service so that you will be ready. Use what you have available home for the bread (pita, rye, cracker, sourdough, tortilla, etc.) and liquid (wine, juice, water) for the cup.
There is a recorded message that Pastor Cynthia has prepared so that you can understand the meaning of the Sacrament. Find that by clicking here.
In the order of worship, the Sacrament generally follows the message.
