About Us

        Pastor Cynthia

Please join us as we commit our lives in prayer, lift our hearts in worship, expand our minds through study of the scriptures, extend our hands to serve in His name and grow in the Body of Christ!

Our goal is to provide an atmosphere of loving acceptance and an opportunity where people can grow spiritually through vibrant worship, honest friendships, a caring fellowship, constant prayer and compassionate concern for the world.

Worship is the primary reason we meet together as we focus our attention on God, giving Him our worship and receiving His blessing and inspiration. Each of these occasions is a special time for spiritual refreshment.

Outreach is an essential part of our growth as Christians, helping us recognize that we are not alone in this world and that there is always someone in need of the light that God shines through us. There are a host of ministries that the young and old can get involved in, locally and globally, to be a witness to the selflessness and generosity of Jesus.

Education and Growth opportunities abound for every person at every age level; special programs and ministries for children, youth and adults which fill the church calendar. There is always more than one place where you can be personally enriched.

Studying the Bible is also vital to growth. Not only for intellectual growth, but also and most importantly, spiritual growth. We believe the Bible and accept it as God’s Word for and to us that is alive and relevant to life today.

Ministering to others through acts of caring is essential to developing Christian friendship. We make it a priority to facilitate the opportunities to create lasting bonds and nurture friendships among our church family. Our circle of friends continues to grow and always has room for more!

Jesus loves all people dearly and we welcome all people openly, in His name.  Whether you are a spiritual seeker just beginning your walk toward God, or a committed believer continuing your walk with Him, you can find a place at Beulah Church!

First Time Visitors: Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I park?

The main parking lot is the first entrance off of McCrady Road near the Bell Tower. You can let passengers off at the drive circle where the main entrance doors are located, then proceed to the lot. If there is a big event and parking is scarce, the lot across the street belongs to Beulah as well as the lot further down McCrady adjacent to the Preschool playground. There is also parking behind the building near the gym. The main entry doors are facing McCrady Road near the Bell Tower.

Where is the nursery?

When you arrive, you will want to find an usher (they have name tags) and ask them to direct you to the nursery. Our building is much larger than it seems from the outside! We have paid nursery attendants who have clearances and you should be able to leave your child without fear when you come to any event at Beulah.

A word about safety and security

Every person who volunteers with children in any capacity, and all employees at Beulah have passed background checks as required by Pennsylvania law.  Because we have a daily child care program, we have limited access to the parts of the building where the children are during the week days.  From Monday through Friday, 7 am to 6 pm, access to certain areas is monitored and visitors are not allowed entry unless they have business with the Preschool or Church.

How should I dress?

We are not too fussy about attire… this is Pittsburgh! Some of us come in blue jeans, and some don’t feel comfortable in church unless they’re in a suit and tie.  Come in what feels comfortable to you and don’t worry about whether your tee shirt is discount or designer.

Is your building handicap accessible?

Yes! We have wide doors and aisles and designated stalls in restrooms. The main floor is easy to navigate in a wheelchair. The downstairs classrooms and gym may be accessed through the back parking lot where we have ramps. We also have assistance for the hearing impaired and large print hymnals and bulletins (just ask an usher about these resources).  Do you need assistance when standing?  Our ushers can direct you to one of the chairs with arms, and help you to be seated where you are comfortable in the sanctuary.  Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance.
